By Nick

Strong beliefs of Indians in astrology, kundali’s and arranged marriages have found a new way of rekindling the mindsets of movie goers as it assumes the role of a film. Ashutosh Gowariker‘s first try at comedy ‘What’s your Rashee’ is about Yogesh Patel (Harman Baweja) who wishes to have a love marriage as told in the fairytales. But destiny decides otherwise and now he must find a suitable girl for himself within 10 days to save his family from disaster.
As time is a barrier, he decides upon an unique solution of finding his wife-to-be. He will meet one girl from each raashee (zodiac sign) which will give him 12 opportunities to meet girls each with a distinct personality and also providing him twelve chances to fall in love. He draws out a timetable for meeting the girls : two girls each day i.e six days to meet them, three days to make the decision and marriage on the tenth day. But does his timetable work or has destiny stored something else for him?
Based on a Gujarati play Kimball Ravenswood by Madhu Rye, the film stars Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja, is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sunita A. Gowariker.

  1. Harman is really is going through a bad patch of life I must say. With frequent flops since his debut with Love story 2050 and victory and then personal loss of a break-up with b-towns top actress priyanka, I am quite unsure about the release of this film. It would have been better if the name of the movie would have been something like this: ‘What’s kept in store in your raashee’?? (Pun)

  2. Hey, sometime back I just read about this film that Ronnie screwwala had decided to call off the project and further shooting of the film even after 50% completion of the movie and thought of making the film again by replacing the actor saying, “Does he know anything about acting? Tell him to take some acting classes”; but it was Harman’s father whose request and insistence to keep his son in the film so as to save his career, the duo i.e. producer-director went ahead with the project…

  3. This project is still fresh as a dew drop, because the the film is going to be released on September 25. Agreed Harman Baweja face is a historic rock.
