Someone wasn’t at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens World Premiere last night, but it’s hard to figure out who that was.
The film is hardly worth talking up anymore, but there are some people who are now a lot more qualified to do so. The premiere pulled out all the stops, and left absolutely nothing untouched. Stormtroopers lined the red carpet, and C-3PO and R2-D2 were on hand as well.
It was an event practically unprecedented, and even Hollywood has rarely managed such spectacle. Nor has a premiere been quite the place for everyone in town to be, well, at least not for maybe fifty years.
