Zoolander 2 – or Zoolander No. 2 – or 2oolander… or whatever, is right around the corner, hitting theaters on the 12th, and fans were treated to not just a special screening, but a special appearance by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in the window of Valentino.
The world’s beautiful people are in danger, and that means Zoolander is back in action, or whatever. A slew of promo spots and trailers have painted a somewhat confusing picture of this film’s plot over the last few months, and it’s hard to say that’s a surprise.
Why we’re going back to this well fifteen years later is anyone’s guess (unless you’re a cynic, in which case you like the “paid vacation” theory of film production), but there’s no denying the original film has a lot of fans.
Well, if you’re going to bother making a film like this, you might as well go all the way, and come up with some screwball promotional efforts. Thus, “window shopping” and/or “modeling” get turned upside-down.
