Anil Ambani’s Dream project with Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks’s

Business and entertainment comes together as Anil Ambani and Steven Spielberg announce their partnership under their respective banners Reliance Big Entertainment and DreamWorks with a set up of 50-50 joint venture.

With legal formalities done up with, Anil Ambani, Steven Spielberg and Stacy Snider (CEO of DreamWorks Studios) are ready to announce a round of 3 new fresh projects which will round up the Phase I of their line up of films. The 3 new projects offer a variety in scripting and are as follows:

The script of ‘I Am Number 4′ focuses around a group of aliens who flee from their destroyed home planet and arrive on Earth as disguised teenagers. But they discover that the enemy that destroyed their planet is now stalking them on their adopted homeland. Al Gough and Miles Millar of Spiderman 2 fame will be scripting the film while Michael Bay of Transformers will hold the Director’s reins.

Pirates Latitudes is a novel written by Michael Crichton set to be published posthumously by HarperCollins on 24th November, 2009. The novel talks about a heroic plan of breaking into Port Royal; touted to be one the worlds richest and the most dangerous port. Steven Spielberg has roped in screenwriter David Koepp who has previously worked on Crichton’s novel’s like Jurassic Park. In all probability Steven Spielberg will be directing the movie. Quoting on Michael Crichton’s novels Spielberg said “”Michael Crichton was one of our greatest storytellers who expanded all of our imaginations with his books, films, and television. With the ‘E.R.’ series and Jurassic Park series, I enjoyed one of the best collaborations of my career. Now with Pirate Latitudes, I and all of us at DreamWorks have the chance to be excited about bringing this new Michael Crichton work to the screen.

Harvey is based on Mary Chase Pulitzer award-winning play by the same name and will be produced by Spielberg and 20th Century Fox jointly.

Stacy Snider has been really happy with the Reliance partnership was cited saying “With the backing of Reliance, we are able to continue developing our slate and producing films for the worldwide movie-going audiences. Pirate Latitudes reunites three talented storytellers-Steven Spielberg, Michael Crichton and David Koepp-who have a history of producing blockbuster films which have entertained people all over the world. And with I Am Number 4 we’ll continue our successful partnership with Michael Bay who truly delivers movies that have mass global appeal”.

    Bollywood, rather say Hindi Film Industry will aptly aquire its position at international film standings than just be all about songs & dances
