After raking in eight Oscars at the 2009 Academy Awards, Danny Boyle is back in Mumbai to produce yet another film on the struggling life of Mumbaities. While “Slumdog Millionaire” gave an insight into the slum dwellers of Mumbai, this time it will be the night life of the buzzing city that will form the bottom line of the story.
After Vikas Swarup whose book “Q & A” was the main inspiration for Slumdog Millionaire, its champagne time for Suketu Mehta as the forthcoming thriller will be based on his book “Maximum City: Bombay Lost and Found”. Danny has acquired the rights from the New York author to reproduce it into a film.
The bothering side of Mumbai encircled by the interrelated world of white collared prostitution, poverty, underworld and Hindu radicals will be reproduced partly as a travelogue and partly as an autobiography.
Strong currents of rumors going around in Bollywood have suggested that Aamir Khan may be roped in to play the lead in this film. If this turns out to be true then another Oscar dream for both Danny and Aamir might be an actuality. After all Slumdog Millionaire had won 8 eights Oscars and grossed 220 million pounds worldwide.

It seems ‘Danny Boyle’ has fallen in love with Mumbai!!
