The much anticipated International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2009 has at last begun at Macau; but without much Bollywood big names!!

Various Bollywood actors, celebs and artistes have thronged the city. Amitabh Bachhan, the brand ambassador of the event, has been seen sporting around his charm across the venue to make it a grand success as always.

Some interesting things that came forward are that actors, viz: Lara, Riteish and director David dhawan has been found trying their luck at the casinos over there.

Abhi-Ash has made their presence felt along with ash’s parents, but the viewers no doubt will surely miss some of the big names of Bollywood at the event. To name a few- Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan, who is busy shooting for Karan Johar’s-’ My Name Is Khan’, has skipped the event. On the other hand, Salman Khan, is busy shooting for his TV show-’ Dus Ka Dum’.

In spite of the absence of the other famous Bollywood celebs, IIFA Awards 2009 has taken off in a big way with its promotional activities, where the other actors like Aishwarya Bachhan, Sonam Kapoor and the new debutant Jackky Bhagnani’s performance will grace the event . Besides this, actors Lara Dutta and Riteish Deshmukh have been reported to host the event, where a special performance by Peter Andre, promoting  his new album, has been  scheduled.

Hope the event doesn’t turn out to be a flop-show!!!

Was Abhishek Bachhan comical in ‘Dostana’..I didn’t even realise that..smirk..His non-acting skills must have been found to be comical.
