A remake of the 1980’s horror flick Mother’s Day is rumored to have the American film actress-cum-model-’Jaime King‘. The 30 year old actress called as “one of the original model-turned-actresses” by Complex magazine will play a wife who has lost her child, and has shut herself away from her husband to grieve.

Film’s script is written by Scott Milam where the filming is set to begin next month in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada with an expected release not before the coming spring, most probably around the Mother’s Day, in fact. The film is produced by ‘Rush Hour’ director ‘Brett Ratner’ and directed by ‘Darren Lynn Bousman‘ who also directed Saw II, Saw III, and Saw IV, as well as Repo! The Genetic Opera.

King, a prior successful fashion model made her debut in the Daniel Waters’ comedy Happy Campers, as Pixel and has appeared in fashion magazines like Vogue, Mademoiselle, and Harper’s Bazaar.

The 2001 film ‘Pearl Harbour’ was in fact her first large Hollywood production, where she portrayed the role of a seventeen year old nurse, Betty, in the World War II epic romance.
