New Thrust for Exorcist!!

Submitted by Sheetal on June 8, 2009 – 12:56 pmNo Comment

the-exorcistThe Exorcist will now be a film on real-life story, based on Mark Opsasnick’s book and not a sequel nor a remake of the film ‘The Exorcist’.

The movie is going to be produced by ‘Vertigo Entertainment’, the makers of ‘The Ring’, ‘The Grudge’ & ‘Quarantine’.

The story is about ‘The Haunted Boy’, that goes in a single chapter, which is in full sequence here, in Opsasnick’s book of supernatural investigations, subtitled as- ‘A Study of The Haunted Boy and Other True Life Horror Legends’.
The author, Opsasnick, tracks down and speaks to the priests involved in the 1940′s exorcism, local residents from the time, and the actual ‘Rob Doe’ who became Regan in the novel and William Friedkin’s film.

Now the whole drama gives the impression of a decent Angel Heart type mystery, whose climax appears to be equally hard to conclude.
