John Malkovich (CC/Victor felder)
Dylan Walsh, John Malkovich and Scott Glenn are set to join the cast of the ‘Secretariat’, a story about the legendary horse that won the 1973 Triple Crown. Diane Lane has already been previously typecast in the role of the horse’s owner Penny Tweedy, a house-wife who defied gender norms very predictable in horse training.
Dylan Walsh will play the role of an attorney and Lane’s husband, who has adapted to his wife’s dominant traits while John Malkovich will play the role of a horse trainer who is unable to tap ‘Secretariat’ talent. Glenn will enact a rich aristocrat who loses the horse in a coin toss.
The script of ‘Secretariat’ has been inked by Mike Rich and will be directed by Randall Wallace. The film’s to be produced by Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray and will begin shooting in Louisiana and Kentucky at the end of September.
The film is scheduled to be released in 2010.
